Our history:

Our little daughter -Michaela- died August 12, 1998, it was unexpected and it was devastating to our little family. She died of Strep B Complications due to PROM-Premature Rupture of Membranes. At that time, we were first introduced to the horrible truth that there just wasn't anything around when we needed it. Everything was happening so quickly! Funeral, Plot, Casket, Autopsy, and on and on and on. The little things that mean so much to a mommy go by the wayside. Beautiful soft clothes that fit, a snuggly & warm blanket, just can't seem to found that fast. People try to be loving, but don't understand and don't think of those little things that make those last moments as special as possible under the circumstances. I would have given ANYTHING at that time to be able even to see my baby in the NICU. I wanted her alive, or at least a little more time!

Our heart:

Her death launched our business at least in our hearts! We want to be there for you or your loved one that is going through the devastation of a baby's death, or the little life struggling in the hospital isolette. Our hearts are with you in grief and in rejoicing. We love to hear about a little preemie who makes it! We pray that you never experience the sorrow of not being able to bring your precious baby home.

About Sjona:

~BabyLinq is the product of homemaker/businesswoman Sjona Lindquist. It is her passion for children and devotion to homeschooling that makes BabyLinq what it is. Having 6 living children of her own provides ample opportunity for testing and personal research of BabyLinq products and homemaking tips. The Lindquists' loss of a baby at delivery has made Sjona particularly sensative to the needs of premature infants and their parents. All products sold are either Sjona's personal favorites or have been rated as the best in their categories by such organizations as epinions.com.

Sjona's love for children comes from many years of babysitting, looking after her own younger siblings, and more professional childcare work in daycares and schools. But anyone who knows her will attest to her natural "knack" with kids and homemaking. You'd have to have a knack for it, too, if you were a wife, homeschooling mother, and business owner, all rolled into one. One of the keys to her success is being able to find the cheapest, easiest, most efficient way to do things, whether it's wearing a baby sling while working, finding a home-made "potion" to get gum out of carpet, or finding the best deals on homeschooling materials. Once she finds that potion or that gem of deal she can't help but sharing it with others, so BabyLinq is a natural outworking of her research. We hope you will benefit from it. Sjona lives in Upstate South Carolina with her husband, Matthew, and their 6 living children.
